A quick and delicious Chicken Karahi made in the Instant Pot, perfect for guests. This dish features flavorful spices and fresh ingredients combined with chicken and tomatoes, resulting in a rich and aromatic meal.
Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and add the oil, garlic, and ginger. After about 30 seconds, add in the chicken and give everything a good mix until the chicken changes color.
Add the tomatoes, cilantro, and green chilies. Mix well.
 Add in the masalas.
Put the Instant Pot lid on, set it to sealing, and pressure cook for 5 minutes.
No water is needed as the chicken and tomatoes will release liquid.
As soon as the timer goes off, release the pressure manually by turning the knob to venting.
Remove the lid and gently take out the chicken from the pot.
Set the Instant Pot to sauté to let the tomato mixture reduce. You can remove the skins if you’d like.
Once the oil starts seeping to the surface, add in the yogurt and mix gently. Place the chicken back in.
Turn off the sauté mode, sprinkle the kasuri methi and garam masala, and place the lid back on just for the flavors to meld.
Dish out and sprinkle with cilantro and sliced ginger.
